What’s up Brownies?
I washed, deep conditioned, and flat-ironed, my daughter, A Che’s hair last Sunday. You can see the post about it here. I was asked how long does her hair stay straight after flat-ironing it? The answer is, it lasts until I wash it again, which will be in 4-6 weeks.
I decided to do a weekly follow-up here on the blog so that you can see week by week how long it lasts and how it looks as time goes by! There’s nothing like seeing it for yourself right? These pictures were taken yesterday, exactly one week after flat-ironing.
I am doing the “follow-up” on the blog because it takes a long time to edit and upload YouTube videos. I can give you an update much faster with pictures here on the blog.
Last week, she wore her hair in one ponytail for the whole week. I twisted the ponytail and put it in a bun for the entire week. That’s what caused the waves that you see. At bath time, she put on her satin bonnet and put a shower cap over it to keep her hair from getting wet. I didn’t have to moisturize her hair until Friday. That’s how good this Kera Care product line works for her hair.
Last Friday was her first day of school. I put some Kera Care Oil Moisturizer around her edges (because that’s the only place that needed it) and combed it back up into the ponytail and that’s how she wore it to school. Read about it here.
The pictures below show how her hair looked exactly one week after flat-ironing.
Yesterday, her hair was still well moisturized but I added just a little Kera Care Oil Moisturizer around her edges and styled her hair. I will post that video later this week. Happy Styling! See You tomorrow!
